We are currently looking for a communicative & technical
Specialty Account Manager Oils & Fats
to join our team at the Central Post office in the heart of Rotterdam.
Our new Specialty Account Manager Oils & Fats will represent our high‑quality portfolio of specialty oils and fats solutions to customers within an assigned region or market segment. In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening long‑term partnerships with existing clients while proactively identifying and converting new commercial opportunities. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers -understanding their production processes, technical requirements, and business needs - and translating these into tailored product and service solutions in close collaboration with our development, supply chain and account support team.

What the role entails:
Be the lead point-of-contact for all assigned customer account management matters
Manage customer relationships throughout the complete cycle
Act as the lead point-of-contact for all assigned accounts, including visits to existing and potential customers
Negotiating contracts
Follow up on open contracts book, budgets and payments where applicable
Collaborate closely with the Technical Service team to support product approvals and customer innovation projects
Visiting both existing and potential customers within assigned portfolio
Conduct market studies to enhance potential sales opportunities
Clearly communicate reports and the progress of initiatives to management on a regular basis
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
Work with the team to identify and grow new opportunities
To excel in this role, you bring:
A bachelor's degree (HBO) in sales, communications or related field
Min. 3 years of relevant work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager or similar role
Strong economic/commercial background with an affinity for food and ingredients, combining business acumen with technical curiosity
A good understanding and/or experience of/in the edible oils or food industry
Fluency in English & German (any additional European language is a plus)
Experience with CRM, ERP software and MS Office
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
Strong communication skills
Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
Willingness to travel between NL (driver’s license required) & occasionally Germany/northern Europe
